Hello all!

I thoroughly enjoy mobile use of my PRO-197 mounted in a floor mount/speaker combination, but I'm interested in a less cluttered installation. I still have the DIN sleeve and keys for dash mounting the receiver, and am interested in hearing from anyone who has installed their PRO-197 in the dash.

Would I be able to use the factory stereo vehicle speakers, or would I need to install an audio amplifier to drive them for decent output? The vehicle in question is a '98 Ford Windstar Minivan.

Thanks in advance!

I just finished this task in my 2002 old bravada. Are you going to install and aftermarket headunit so you can still listen to the radio or cd's? Thats what I did. For a speaker I use a regular Motorola speaker, and it works great. I dont know if you could use the in car speakers. I had an audio store install my scanner in the dash.. Ive installed everything else, but I have to say that was the best $60 Ive ever spent.
