Thank you forshowing an interest, basically we are a new company and we are desperatly looking for people to dispatch breaking news for the service, that certain people buy. So if you listen to your scanner quite often, we need anybody willing to help.

Another one? And this one wants to be paid?

Must not have done any market research.

this is just like 1st responder wirelessnews and IPN. It does not cost to dispatch, just to recieve the service.

NYSING.org is free, although it does not have any audio feeds.

Somewhere in this room. Right now, you're very col
NV05, it's a noble idea but the market is really saturated. Unless you're offering something the others cannot, you're not going to make a whole bunch of money on it. See my sig - I dispatch for APSN also, and know the owner. He's told me he really doesn't make a whole lot of money on it - it's mainly something that we do just for fun. It's kinda cool to see an incident you paged out end up on the evening news.

The only way I could see you standing out over everyone else is if you paid your dispatchers to sit full time and monitor. But that would be costly, and the ROI just isn't there to justify such a thing. Most paging systems are volunteer based and well, you get what you pay for. Some are very active and some have hardly a peep go out.

Good luck with it,
-AZ

For anyone in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex there is alertpages.com. A friend and I started it several years ago in Lubbock, TX. It is still available for the Lubbock area, but most of the activity is in DFW. It is 100% free.

No thanks, I signed up and they dropped me because I didn't input enough. I live in a small town we don't have that many incidents. It's a big thing to have a jaywalker here. No, I didn't like the way I was treated at all.

as a ex-INA dispatcher i really dont like what they have set up. They have a Dispatcher Reward Program which you dont get any rewards at all.

yeh, i like how they work their companies. lol

Customers : "Get dispatches of local fire, police and EMS! right to your pager! All for $20 a month!!"

Dispatchers: "Help dispatch message in your towns, spend HOURS of your free time doing this! And get paid NOTHING! maybe we will give you a reward!"

Cant agree with you anymore. They are pretty ridiculous over at INA recently. If you are looking to become a Dispatcher for a Incident Alert Company, Id recommend Incidentpage.net. I have not had any issues with the long time Ive been with them. Great support team and courteous dispatchers always..

Also some good stuff to get from your points...

 What stuff? 3 past INA Admins have told me INA does'nt have any money to pay for the rewards.. If im going to be putting my time into a Alert Service, Id like my awards guaranteed. IPN has always supplied me with the Rewards I ordered immediatly. INA kept saying "We forgot to ship it" or "Its on backorder" and I never got it over a years time.

+1. For those curious, read what I wrote earlier in this post.

Sorry for the rant, Just with the fact of ive been with multiple paging companies, so far IPN or 1RWN are the best. Unless you are willing to send pages for no rewards and are looking to constantly getting bagged on, INA will suit you for that.

Again sorry for the rant, just dont want to see anyone get ripped off!

INA did collapse a few years ago, there are still free "dispatching" or fire networks. Central Illinois Fire Network, Firenet Chicago (does charge for services), Incident Alerts, and Oregon Fire Page to name a few.
