Hi again y'all, after a brief hiatus Lol! I have recently aquired a Pro-92. Its alright for what it is, but I'm always for making something all it can be. I had once read about making an RS Pro-2022 scan rate faster by changing a crystal. I could probably find the article again pretty easily. Anyways, it talks about not exceeding 10.7MHz or it will make it uselessly too fast! My question is do you think it is possible to adapt that procedure to make it work for my Pro-92? I figure they could have similar oscillators for the scan rate being they are both Radio Shack units. I don't want to go stoopid fast, just a nice bump in speed. I'm not new to electronics and radios so the experimentation isn't too intimidating to me. I just wanna see what some of the gurus would say! Thanks for your time!
