Hi again y'all, after a brief hiatus Lol! I have recently aquired a Pro-92. Its alright for what it is, but I'm always for making something all it can be. I had once read about making an RS Pro-2022 scan rate faster by changing a crystal. I could probably find the article again pretty easily. Anyways, it talks about not exceeding 10.7MHz or it will make it uselessly too fast! My question is do you think it is possible to adapt that procedure to make it work for my Pro-92? I figure they could have similar oscillators for the scan rate being they are both Radio Shack units. I don't want to go stoopid fast, just a nice bump in speed. I'm not new to electronics and radios so the experimentation isn't too intimidating to me. I just wanna see what some of the gurus would say! Thanks for your time! :)

Chuck, an easier( and safer) trick would be just to enter all your high interest frequencies in memory two or three times to increase the sampling rate.

Lol I like it! I do have a couple blank banks left. Time to multiply :D

Seriously, I wouldn't mind the project, but if worse.come to worse, then I'm going with your idea. :)

Yeppers that would be the article! I just wonder if it could apply to my 92. Guess there's one way to find out, eh? :)
