Looking for the new p-25 Freqs for Civil Air Patrol.I have checked the WIKI and have found other states but nothing for Indiana.I used to hear the CAP net on 148.150 on Tues or Weds Night around 7PM.Would like to add a Uniden 996T to my Communications Center to listen to CAP for Central Indiana and other freqs that are vhf that are used by CAP. If anyone can provide the new freqs for p-25 for CAP I would appreceite it very much.Thank You, Very Best Requards,Tim DeLong W9NES/ KAF3207/*Monitoring all of Metro Indianapolis and Marion County and all of Central Indiana*

Not all wings are using P25, altho the Repeaters are Dual-Mode.

This is due to the limited number of P25 Radios issued to each Wing/Squadron, and that many members bought Narrowband Analog radios to save some $$.

All the Wings, I listen to [here in New England] still use 95% Analog, with a few folks play'n [experimenting] with the P25, but it's still pretty much an Analog World.

As Kenny [Thanks !] posted, check the Wiki, it has ALL the new Narrowband [don't think just P25] channels that you will need.

The Critical Part is now finding the Tones and Locations of the Indiana Wing Repeaters.

Listen around 1800-2100 Local for potential Nets [they could be daily/weekly or monthly - depending on the Radio Interest at each Wing/Squadron]

From a 2006 Document, the Repeater sites were:
Allen, Bartholomew, Brown, Floyd, Hancock, Jasper, Lake, Maimi, Marshall, Monroe, Sullivan, Tippecanoe and Vandeburg.

Post back what you find. The other option is to also try weekends, when Squadrons have trainings.

KennyBlues and others, I have searched the RR Wiki as I posted in my thread. There was other states but no listings for Indiana. Indiana was there but there was no Freqs listed.Fot AlphaBravo I do know how to do a search. I was not intrestred in that.I wanted freqs that others have heard for Civil Air Patrol that are being used in Indiana in my area.*Central Indiana* use would be great. If any Indiana members have freqs that have found I would appreceite you help. Thank You.

Which means NO ONE has submitted them. Sadly, not many spend time listening to the CAP.

But just to be clear the RR WIKI under New_Narrowband_Basic_Channel_Plan are the ONLY frequencies ANYONE will hear CAP using, unless they have an MOU with local resources for use of a state frequency/trs etc.

These are the Federally assigned CAP channels. The only Tones that will change would be the individually assigned Repeater Sites for your State.

Each Rptr has it's own Tone [CTCSS / NAC [P25]
148.1250 and 148.1500 are the only two Repeater channels that you will find for ground units, unless 148.1375 is enabled when an A/C is airborne.

Sadly CAP [Communications] has pounded into their personel that the Frequencies are FOUO and no one shares [even off the record].

Hope this clears up, what I think might be some confussion

Again, there is nothing [and the RR DB needs clean-up on many of the old Channels] submitted for Indiana. :(

The ONLY way they are going to get in the database is if someone searches for them.
Too many scanner listeners are lazy and want everything spoon fed, or they keep their own private lists and do not submit to the database, but will pop up with a comment when someone finds an unknown one or has questions...
if people bothered to submit it to database we could all benefit. Searching works, and even better on these newer scanners with temporary lockout, that is how I found the old CAP IN-KY frequencies (no longer in use).

Now I do know IN-CAP uses ISR for Columbus and Seymour, but did not have a scanner with me when they were in use.
Second, since CAP now has a national assignment, what is active in Indiana will be active in other states and so you can use that wiki database. It doesn't have to be in the Indiana wiki.
Third, the CAP repeater information may be on-line, Ohio has all of theirs posted, location and tone, but the frequencies are classified.

You will notice in the WIKI there are plenty of other states, where NO ONE has reported the info either. And much of the old RR DB info should be suspect, especially if 148.1250 and 148.1500 have 100.0 Hz :D

Thanks Bill for your help.I guess I will do a search on my own with the freqs that are posted for new Narrow Band freqs.

I found CAP operations on Tuesday Night 12-28-2010 on 148.125 in Analog (No P-25). In the Indianapolis Area. This is a great Freq to keep in your scanner and when it comes active you will know it.Very Best Reguards, Tim DeLong W9NES/ GMRS KAF3207/*Monitoring Metro Indianapolis/Marion County and all of Central Indiana from my Communications Center*

Great. R-31 is Pendleton

New Site? or has this always been [even in Wideband Days?] a Site.

Never have seen Pendleton listed, maybe another name?

RedFire was just up on Pri-CONUS-148.125-CT114.8 Pendleton Site (the only one I'm gonna hear)

What CTCSS Tone? Each Repeater has it's own Unique Tone

Was this a NET?? Does it occur Nightly?/Weekly?/Monthly?
also, Wing? or Squadron NET if...

Pendleton Site: Antenna is on a tower on 850 S east of Pendleton and has been for over 20 years. I think the R# is in ref to freq paires/PL tones, not locations. (see list noted on post #2) Traffic past seemed to be continued from another area, moving into Pendleton coverage. Weak, then strong then he closed his station.

Thanks, the documents for prior [Wideband] sites doesn't indicate Pendleton.

Yes R-xx indicates what Pair/Tone, but now we know this is Pendleton from your monitoring.
