Hey all!
I live in Indiana and my county only broadcasts Fire and EMS radio not police, I have a scanner that I use 24/7 that picks up Fire, EMS and police. I now have the equipment to be able to rebroadcast my own scanner feed, I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be illegal for me to do so considering my county specifically opted to not broadcast their police feed on their own.

Indiana's "scanner law" can be found in Indiana Code 35-44.1-2-7 Indiana General Assembly

How your local law enforcement might react to you providing a live feed of their radio traffic is anyone's guess.

The agencies I worked for down here, almost all, wanted the general public to hear us. They wanted the residents to know we were patrolling their areas, both City and County agencies. We were able to encrypt if needed. The real Secret Squirrel Stuff, we did via cellphone.
It cut down on nighttime crimes a lot. Now, just because we checked in an area, didn't always mean we were right there...
One of the Old School things that was taught that High Profile Patrol is the best way to prevent crimes. Never patrol the same area the same way. I have no idea if it's taught anymore. I hated paperwork, so if I could prevent paperwork, I was preventing crime.
