Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody knows which Indianapolis Center sector covers the Dayton, Ohio area. :?

I have the frequencies but, don't know which sector to put in my scanner (ie.. Rosewood, London, ect)

I would like to scan military aircraft in that area.

Any information will be helpful

Have a great day

If you can monitor departures coming out of Wright-Pat and the Dayton airport, you'll probably be able to figure out which ones are in use in the Dayton area pretty easily. Try starting with Wright-Pat departure control, both UHF and VHF.

Remember, too, that some military aircraft will work VHF while others will work UHF. So you'll really be getting two sets of freqs for Indianapolis center. It should take you less than a day.

There's also this excellent website that lists the freqs for both the Dayton airport and Wright-Pat:

Click on Aviation under Transportation.

Happy listening!

Hi Jim,

Thanks abunch for advising. I'm going to a airshow in theat area and wanted to keep track of some aircraft flying to and from the show.

Yes, you are right about them using both civil and military frequencies. I was at a airshow last year and a B 2 Bomber flew over the airport. They were on the civil aircraft bond talking to the tower.

Again sir, thanks for the info.

Have a great day
