While doing a Favorite List for my Home Patrol 2 for a recent trip to Indianapolis, I discovered that the listings here at RR for the airport appear to have some very out-dated information. There are listings for Eastern Airlines which last flew in 1991 and TWA which last flew in the early 2000's. ( Was RR or trunkedradio.net (the predecessor) even around in 1991?). While on my trip there, I spent a Saturday morning at the Cell Phone Lot at the airport and was able to confirm the following and I have submitted them to the database:
DELTA OPERATIONS 129.9500 AM
SOUTHWEST OPERATIONS 130.1250 AM
AMERICAN OPERATIONS 131.1500 AM
DELTA OPERATIONS 460.8250 NFM CTCSS 103.5Hz
UNITED OPERATIONS 460.6500 NFM CTCSS 127.3Hz
SOUTHWEST OPERATIONS 463.6875 NFM DCS 114
It appeared that American Airlines Ground Operations was on 460.775 but they were using DMR so I could not confirm anything. I was not able to confirm anything for the air to ground frequency for United Airlines and could not confirm anything for Frontier and Allegiant.
I wanted to throw this out there for any of you that live in the area if you wanted to play with it and add to the database. I think any frequencies listed for Continental, Northwest, AirTran and US Airways listed could probably be deleted since these airlines also do not exist any more and I did not hear anything on them but I would think there is a possibility that they could now be used by United, Delta, Southwest and American because of all the airline mergers.
I am also going to submit a listing for Eagle Creek Airport (spent some time there also) to separate it from the main airport listing.
Besides Public Safety scanning, I also enjoy air-band scanning so that's what got me started on this little project while planning the trip to Indianapolis. The Cell Phone Lot with the nearby Circle K made for a great place to do some plane-spotting while there.
