can i pick up indianapolis scanner frequency in boone county

Hi Mark, that depends where in Boone county you are at and what type of antenna you are using. MECA is hard anywhere on the North West side of Indy for the scanner to decode. I use a Wilson 800mhz yagi antenna at home and can get MECA with that, I'm just a couple miles South of Lebanon. VHF and UHF conventional frequencies from Indy, you will hear better the closer to Indy you are. So if you are in the North West corner of Boone county, you may have a difficult time hearing much of anything vs from the center part of the county on South.
