Info on operating TK-830G

Hi,

Is there anyone out there with the patience to help an old bloke with a couple of tips on operating a TK-830G.

I bought is second hand and just want to set it up so it easily switches between Ch 1-40.
Currently is has settings from the previous owner and i appear to be too stupid to nut out how to delete the previous settings and get it so it's easy to switch between channels 1-40

You don't state which model type you have, 99 or 160 channel (doubt you have a 32 if there are 40+ channels)

Assume 160 channels. Kenwood sets these up as 10 groups of 16 channels (max). In the first group, the rotary knob would give you access to channels 1-16. To access channels 17-32, you would first have to press the group up button once, then spin the knob. This continues through the groups and the rotary knob will select a max of 16 in that group.

If you need to add or delete or rearrange channels/groups, this can only be done with the KPG-7D software and a programming cable.
