jdc50 - nope. They've updated some of the links to their remote sites, but no trunking coming to Eaton Co.

05-014: Lansing Mason Ambulance heard last night calling base to check in from Allegiance Hospital in Jackson.

North, all of the township is north of 496.

Some of the township is south, like the Lansing / Old Lansing Road areas (east of Waverly), but yes, they are dispatched on LA NORTH. Their identifiers start with 8, then "Adam" for one man cars, "Boston" for two man cars, and the last part is based on their car numbers- 20 through 30, even numbers only. 8 Adam 20, 8 Adam 22, etc...

Rob, I know how you demand everyone be correct so consider that there is a part of Lansing Twp off of Jolly and Collins, by the Post Office

I didn't know Lansing Twp PD patrolled that area, thanks for the clarification. Do they switch to LA S when they're there?

JNL & GM are all considered "Lansing" but I'm not sure LPD patrols there. That usually means they send an LFD rig for any JNL medical emergencies, and a full LFD response for any fire calls to either facility.

I have never heard Lansing Twp. PD Patrol that area either(not one traffic stop or anything) so now I am real curious to find out. Also what does JNL Stand for?

I dont know if they patrol the Jolly/Collins area, the area is owned by MSU but the roads are township. I do know they have, over the years, taken crash reports on the north side of Jolly and at the Jolly/College intersection.

Thanks for the info. i5 - JNL = Jackson National Life. If there's a medical call, Meridian Twp sends and ambulance and Lansing sends an engine since it's "technically" in Lansing. GM in Delta Twp doesn't do that for medical, but any fire call gets a full LFD first-due response in addition to Delta Twp Fire.

Then you get to fight the "what channel do we talk on" issue ;)

There is no LCC PD EVENT1, are you referring to LCCEVENT or LCC PD1?

Rebanding

I have a BC296D which I use to monitor Ingham County however this summer I will be Stueben County Indiana. According to their info they say they are rebanded. So my question is what happens if I update my scanner will I still be able to hear non rebanded channels?

Thanks

Ingham is not rebanding, they aren't in the frequency range that'll be moving.

Ingham Co has agreed to transfer license WQGY717 (which had been planned for the radio labs to set up a subsystem of the county, but that was no longer needed) to Lansing Community College to set up a 4-channel LTR system for their main campus.

Lansing Twp has the NB lane of Collins from Dunckel to Jolly, WB lane of Jolly from Collins to College, the SB lane of College from Jolly to Bennett and all the land in between. Draw an imaginery line for bennet rd across to Collins.

I began programing the Ingham Co. EDACS in to my scanner but this is the first time Ive had to program an EDACS mode and read that the freq have to start with the smallest and then end with the highest. I looked up the freq on RR but wondered how to program. if all the freq in the database have to be small to large or if just each category had to be entered this way. Such as just Lansing or just the simulcast subgroups any help would be appreciated
