Some general info on the system...
MSP is buying MA/COMM radios for their area cruisers.
Portables should have 95% in-building coverage, mobiles at 98%.
Dobie Rd, Leslie and Dansville towers are up. Construction on Penn Ave just
began.
Repair response time for a tower down is 20-120 minutes, as the service
company is based in Jackson (where almost all of the equipment is awaiting
installation now.)
Backup generators will last 5-10 days.
System optimization and coverage scheduled for mid-Nov til end of December.
Training and equipment install will run Dec 15 - Jan 30. System acceptance
planned for Jan 1 - Feb 15th with phase-in over a few months timespan.
