Hi all.

Does anyone listen to these guys? Is the 453 MHz frequency in the DB correct?
On 508.2000 - NXDN modulation, I'm hearing some sort of towing operations in the IE area, but they only reference freeways on their "incidents" and use 11 codes. Their dispatch is referred to as "Inland" and the dispatcher sounds kinda like a CHP dispatcher (judged solely by the way she talks).

Of course it could be some random tow company. I don't really listen to tow services, so I don't know what they typically sound like.

I'll gladly submit the info, but I still have no idea who I'm listening to for sure. Sounds like FSP, but it could be some whacker tow truck company too :)
Also, I was not aware that NXDN carried a PL tone. I'll see if I can find that out, if there even is one........

I can confirm the 453.950 FSP was active a few months ago for sure when I was doing some work out at Ontario Airport. With good propagation, or a little altitude you can sometimes even sometimes hear it in LA basin.

Regarding 508.200, looking at FCC licensing, the only local license is to Comm Enterprises as part of a trunked system. They show it licensed to various sites around SoCal including Hacienda Heights, Pasadena, Palos Verdes, Montrose, Calabasas etc.
So who knows what you are hearing.

I heard that they moved to a TRS - the repeater site was maintained by a private contractor, who couldn't resolve ongoing interference issues.

So the 508.2 MHz frequency may be them.

The repeater is in the county building on Heaps Peak. That can be a tough site to make work. I don't know that anyone ever made an effort to clean up any interference problems there.

I will listen some more. Sounds like we may be narrowing it down.
NXDN/Nexedge is a digital trunking/modulation scheme, like MotoTRBO or P25.
No PL tone is used.
