Hill AFB will be conducting an Installation Protection Exercise or IPP on Wednesday, Jan 6 2010. Those of you with digital capability can tune in and learn new lingo they use for mock disasters/incidents.

"This is a urgent call for volunteers as we are far short of the 50 needed."
"Team Hill,
The full-scale exercise for the Installation Protection Program will take
place on 6 Jan 10. This will be a mass casualty exercise and as such, will
require volunteers to act as victims in the scenario. We are looking for 50
volunteers (this will meet the MDG requirement for a mass casualty exercise)
from the entire Hill AFB population. Volunteers can be military or
civilian. Some more specific information:
DATE: 6 Jan 2010
TIME: In place by 0645
Some victims will be moulaged with make-up for their simulated injuries.
Others will be given injury cards.
The volunteer portion of the exercise should be done by 1100 hrs, and
probably even earlier than that."

Would like to help

I would like to be one of theose 50 victims next time...
However, I would have to have a signed release form from command to do so...
(Is there a way that the stuff can roll down hill from higher staff)
A letter to my director would be required
Let me Know

Is there a listing

Question: Is there a listing of amateur radio operator employees at Hill AFB
A list of willing amateur to assist in disaster prepareness or actual working (I heard ceder city had a 4.0 earthquake this week) or does The "Oh Might" not want the assistance of the amateur communicator working on the base...
Or is it that they don't want our assistance cause they think we might get in the way...
something to ponder....
til next time.
