When things begin to happen fast like yesterdays Denver pursuit and shooting and the monitoring becomes chaotic I have found instant messaging to be an excellent way to share almost instantaneous information.

I currently use Trillian Pro 2.01 http://www.trillian.cc/ to manage my instant messaging accounts and would recommend it to anyone, it provides a nice interactive interface. You can also link audio feed(s) of the actual scanner traffic into an IM feed pretty easily which makes for an added excellent feature.

If you would like to be added to my IM list for incidents please IM me directly at jimmnn or e-mail me at jimmnn@comcast.net with your IM.
