If your going to roll your car and require extrication I'd avoid the area of E-470 near 64th, well Sable arrived on-scene took command and called a chopper go on DTRS, Aurora arrived on there 800MHz system never talking with Sable and then guess what they needed a third chief just in-case so DFD/DIA units arrive wih a full extrication response on there own 800Mhz only to stand down AirLife that Sable was in the process of landing.

Ouch..

I guess the big question was just who's area was it in?

Then the next question is why were so many different agencies dispatched to the same incident?

Which PSAP took the call?

Did that PSAP hand off the call to another PSAP?

Till you have the facts, we can only second guess as to why this all went down the way it did.

Actually a typical response for that area, 3 PSAP's were involved and 3 depts, it's no man's land no actual department covers it.

It's not Denver... we have a 1/4 mile either way from Pena. I don't think it's Aurora, I think they end at
56th.
Most calls in that area are wrong about exact location, so everyone goes out just in case. People will say "470 and Pena" but the call is really just north of the Toll Plaza. I always looked for the "DP" markers to find our boundary.

I looked at the run books for Denver and the city limit runs along 70th avenue through there if 70th actually existed so the approximate address would be just outside by 6 blocks if that was the actual location. So Denver was the closest jurisdiction, Aurora the closest equipment and state the investigating jurisdiction. Anyone remember the old Sable Altura station 2 at 56th and Buckley?

The PSAP that gets the call will depend on the cell tower the caller hits, where it is, and who owns it.

Right. And we marked our boundary on E470 shortly after it opened (those "DP" posts you see as you enter or leave the city boundaries.) Now, we do have an agreement to be first-response to TRACON; I don't know if that extends further, but I doubt it.
So, is that Sable Altura's or some other FPD?

The Denver map says no man's land, I cannot find a Sable Altura map to show one way or the other.

For what it's worth Sable was first on - scene by about 10 minutes, then Aurora, then Denver.

I wish I had a picture of the old Sable Altura #2. Do you have a picture? That was from back before I got into taking pictures.

Looking at the Adams County FPD map it looks like E-470 is in Sable Altura's district. It is actually quite a bit more than 6 blocks along the road outside Denver because E-470 is moving NE and not straight N. This is what happens when there are the swiss cheese annexations by Aurora.
