What is this frequency used for? I heard them doing role call tonight on 154.265. I could hear some stations respond back, but not all, so I punched in the UHF and 800 links and they came in. They basically went through all the towns in the hartford region.

I thought Intercity was on 46.16, or is this just another frequency?
I'll punch in 154.265 and see if it is the same communications as 46.16 when they test daily at I think 9:45 or so in the AM and maybe a PM test too.
In my 40+ years don't remember hearing a lot of activity even in Big Fires or State related weather emergencies.

What other frequencies do you have for this State Wide Fire Freq?

I have 452.550 and 859.3875 as Intercity Fire. I think they are all tied together because I hear the same thing on the VHF as I do on the UHF and 800.

46.16 141.3 is CT Statewide Fire. This is/was used mostly by TN, WW, KX as a freq to request M/A between those regional dispatch centers. Test by TN in morning
154.265 107.5 is Hartford Area Intercity. The UHF & 800 are crossband links for UHF & 800 band users. You hear more units on the links because the VHF is not yet a repeater. 7pm test by Central CT State Univ Public Safety (RICS). Control 2 is Hamilton Sunstrande in Windsor Locks.
154.265 107.2 is South Central Intercity. Unsure of any crossband links.
154.280 82.5 is Springfield MA Intercity. Crossbanded with UHF 453.4125 82.5

Just a quick note - I highly advise anyone in the Hartford area to listen to 154.2650 107.5 for the evening role call. I'm not sure which days he works, but they have a guy with the greatest dispatch voice I've ever heard. He sounds like he should be a movie narrator or something.

I know the voice you are referring to. and Yes, he could work as an announcer for a TV station.
In Newington, they repeat this roll call via the LTR trunking system also.

Thanks, Tom/G

The 154.265 frequency has been in use as long as I can remember. Farmington often uses it during Life Star emergencies to communicate between the fire units on the ground and the helicopter in the air. The channel is used for mutual aid purposes between cities.

Is that the guy from Hamilton Standard?
