im interested in buying an extra class ham license on the internet, does anyone know of any sites that take pay pal?
I'm an engineer. I already know more about the subjects than most people do. Radio theory? Peh, nothing compared to electrical engineering. How much electrical engineering have you had?
Scored 100% on the ham test.
I thought it was non-transferable but uhhh yes, I'll send you the original copy of my license for $699.99 if you want.im interested in buying an extra class ham license on the internet, does anyone know of any sites that take pay pal?
Yeah, that's just what we need. More idiots who did nothing more than memorise eighty percent of a question and answer pool, but never learned a thing about radio theory. Wonderful. Then we end up with what we have here, a lot of supposed Hams asking the most basic questions over and over, because they were too lazy to learn the theory in the first place.
You don't have to earn a Ham licence anymore. You can just go get it. And that's what most people do nowadays. But it's a lot more meaningful if you actually earn it. It says a lot about your integrity and character as a person.
And what exactly is your call sign?

I wondered the same thing. af5rn doesn't exist in the FCC database.
Enjoy your endeavor in what ever direction it takes you and I hope I can work you on the bands someday. Take care and if you need anything or just have questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Unfortunately, therein lies the dilemma. Dropping code and instituting the VE programme are both responsible for a huge influx of newcomers into the hobby. Without a doubt. But numbers don't necessarily tell the whole story. Does quantity equal quality? If the Marines dropped their boot camp down to a 6 week classroom course, eliminating all those requirements that make it so difficult, would that make the Marines better? Or would it simply pad their numbers?Well you could complain about people not learning the proper material, but if the FCC didn't change its requirements, your hobby would have died.
