Indio is joining forces with three other valley cities to establish a communications system that will allow all police and fire agencies involved to stay in contact.

Well, that's gonna send a ripple in the force over at Riverside County. They've been counting on those desert cities to help pay for their big new system. Well... they were warned that was what was going to happen. *shrug*

Is this the same new Riverside County system where they all assured everyone that it would be under budget? How is Riverside County's revenues these days with all the foreclosures, etc?

Riverside County has a web page dedicated to their budget which can be found here. It appears to cover the 2007-2008 fiscal year.

They just need a good grant writer.
