I did find an interesting factoid while looking at the new narrowband changes for several agencies.... They even narrowbanded their low band frequencies. Even though they no longer use the VHF Low Band interop freqs anymore, and there is no reason to narrowband low band. Apparently they just decided to upgrade all the gear to narrowband capable. Not all agencies did this, just a few. But it was just an interesting thing to find VHF Low Band with the narrowband designation. Now if I see the NexEDGE, or MotoTRBO designation on VHF Low Band, I may start questioning folk's sanity a LOT more.

LOL now that would be interesting...... Would also be the first time Low Band range would be far less than normal. Of course that qualifies for ANY digital that would be on Low Band.... Makes me wonder if on HAM way down in the freqs, if anyone has tried like D-Star over the air long range on them. Not through an internet linkage, or node... Straight up radio to radio.

But as for the narrowbanding on low... would narrowband work on AM, aka CB, or HAM, or HF?
