Interesting FPS NAC Change

Haven't listened to Federal Protective Svc (FPS) in awhile, partly because most of the traffic is encrypted, partly because I've had other projects.

They have operated in this area on 410.800 P25 with a TG of 1 and NAC of 201. Today while doing some frequency searches for a festival being held this weekend the FPS popped up on the same frequency and TG, but the NAC is now showing as 270. Radio IDs are in the 6720xxx and 6725xxx ranges. Most comms remain encrypted.

I have heard from listeners that some FPS radio sites have changed NACs or even frequencies in certain areas. I have a feeling they are trying to align their repeaters to be more consistent within their FPS dispatch regions.

But some FPS sites are still analog...

Still listen to 201 that seems to be Mega Centers with local repeaters using other 200 nacs. Example Nac 201 Mega Center, then Your local repeater is 270.

I get FPS all the time on 406.200 NAC 270

FWIW FPS used the "regionwide" NAC 201 initially in Houston when they switched to P25. Eventually they switched to NAC 798, the local Houston NAC where they've stayed.

I get FPS all the time on 406.200

Me too and I want to get a notch filter or something for that freq cause when they key up over there at the court house, I get a ton of images in sdr#. I am one mile line of sight to the court house.

I noticed also this morning for the first time a NAC (as mentioned)
of N201 on 406.200 and N270 on same freq. very active this morning,
I do not copy 408.200 hr for FPS (tried) ...73,s Marcy

Only posting cause its FPS. Rid's that I had logged (from 2017 - 2019 ) on 408.2 n270 are showing on 406.2 n270

I thought it was bleed over from 408.2 but yesterday 2 instances of sdr showed activity on 406.8 with nothing on 408.2.

Just to clarify is it 406.2 or 406.8 you mention both. All my hits are on 410.8 NAC 270
