11:00 am this morning, radio checks (testing 1,2,3,testing 1,2,3,testing 1,2,3) were conducted on REMU 3D 40976/Troop C for about 10 minutes. At 1:00 pm A1-5 Comm 34960/Troop A was simulcast over REMU 3D/Troop C in digital voice for an hour and a half till 2:30 pm.
A1-5 was not heard on Troop C nor was REMU 3D heard on Troop A. The base & car ID's showed up normally on A1-5, but on REMU 3D the ID's were a constant 2022.

Also picked up a WildCard hit on 35376 early this morning on Troop C. "westbound, I gave him gas, he's on his way" was the one and only transmission. Couldn't find this TG anywhere.

I noticed this afternoon (2 pm area) that this TG (40976) was being used on the Troop C TRS for regular comm's to 5 Comm from one or two troopers on the road. This was NOT a patched TG as far as I know, and the PSR 500 did not show it as patched. I had TG 36624 (5 Comm) in analog mode and the digital TG going at the same time to confirm this. Maybe this was another testing day for them to see how P25 would perform in different areas??

All I heard was a few traffic stops along the US Hwy 130 area, but didn't catch a whole lot of traffic on it.

Today from approximately 1 to 3 pm B2-5 Comm/35792 Troop B was simulcast on REMU 3D/40967 Troop C. The ID on REMU 3D was a constant 6580. Audio quality for the road units was not nearly as good as last Thursday's simulcast of A1-5 Comm. Obviously something's afoot here.....
