intermitten reception

I think i will never understand this system :? There are times when i recieve csp district 6, jeffco, adams co, weld co, douglas co, and other times i dont. Is there a logical explaination for this? :?: All of these areas are quite a distance from me, so it makes me curious.

Radio reception is probabilistic not deterministic.

There are many variables that affect the quality of the signal.
They are not constant and can only be predicted with statistical methods.

Well dont get too concerned..scanning the channel is the same in the patrol car...sometimes it'll scan certain troops, sometimes it wont, sometimes i'll hear other channels scanning on my packset but not on the car...it's the system

Thanks N_Jay and Troop, glad it wasn't just me. Kinda makes it interesting when those channels are active.
