WS1080: Internal Speaker Volume

Has anyone messed with the scanner or changed the internal speaker on these . Their volume is horrible!! I heard a uniden and the volume on their handhelds is far superior . Is there anything that can be done ?

Interesting. Do you have AGC enabled or no? Perhaps your speaker is damaged?

Both TRX-2 and BCD536HP sound loud except the Uniden is more "bassy"

im talking about handhelds my base whistler is very loud but handheld is horrible.

No problems with the sound volume on my 1080. Have had it since 2014, no issues with sound.
