• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

All browsers have security issues - it's all about knowing what sort of things not to downoad... I use both of them but more IE7 nowadays, and never in my 10-ish years of using IE have I had a problem.

I downloaded an early Beta version. After installing, My Norton Internet Security stopped working. Since this is more important to me than the Internet explorer, I immediately uninstalled IE7. No more Beta software on my machines.

I've been using the Beta 3 version for several weeks with no real issues. It works fine with McAfee security suite. It is a free download

This isn't the beta anymore - this is Release Candidate (which means unless something really big happens, this will be the "official" version soon.)

When I used to use IE, Ad-Aware SE used to find lots of spyware. Once I started using FireFox, I had far less spyware.
