Internet Explorer and Windows 10

I am running Windows 10, 64 bit, and Internet Explorer 11. Internet Explorer locks up after 5 minutes or so. How can I fix this?

Any particular reason you're using IE 11 and not a more current browser like Edge or Chrome?

IE 11 was on the computer when it was Win 8.1 Is there a newer IE? How do I get it?

Internet Explorer is now obsolete. It has been replaced by Microsoft Edge. If you're running Windows 10 you already have Microsoft Edge installed. Click the Start button and type Edge.

or type "EDGE" into cortana and it will sometimes autolaunch it
