• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Is anyone hearing anything on the INTEROP channels?

Time for some scanner re-programming and wondered about all the new VHF-UHF FMN and the 800mhz...

How about the DPS incident command freq. I suppose these are reserved for something BIG...

thanks...

I hear tons of activity on the 3 fire channels with all of the fires around here lately, occasionallly stuff on TX Law 1 and 3.
Nothing in my area on or 800 and I don't think anybody is using the VTAC/UTAC channels yet even though they were supposed to be implemented by now.

Most of the DFW area 800 MHz trunked agencies have the incident control channels mainly for fireground use. The only time I ever heard anything on them was once several years ago when the NE Tarrant system crashed during a thunderstorm.

I used to hear the NPSPAC channels abused sometimes.
