I didn't know if you wanted someone to answer that here or via PM. I will submit my answers via PM so as not to spoil it for others.

Would be cool if you could find them, and transfer them to digital form. I am working on collection current ones, but its been a slow process.

Well, the old IS are indeed available in digital form.

Many of you may remember Ian McFarland, who used to host DX shows on RCI and later Radio Japan. For the last couple of years, he's been selling CDs with various themes - the first set was recorded IS from the 70s (and a bit later, too..). The proceeds go to a local food bank, and here is the website;

Ian McFarland releases 3rd CD set of Cd's - 20 Years of SW Broadcasting!

Ian is an old friend of mine, and I can assure you this is on the up-and-up. I have a set of the IS CDs, and the quality is excellent.

Yes, I remember Ian McFarland quite well, and I listened to Radio Canada International quite frequently. And I remember a program that featured different ident & interval signals. I have a few of those programs on tape somewhere as well. It shouldn't be too hard to find my tapes, I'm thinking, but if it should, I may get a cd of those interval signals being offered as well. Good stuff.
