Hello,

I am Phil, a radio nut since the 60's. I live in SC and mostly do mil, fed, and low band skip monitoring.
I have an old college friend in Silver Spring that I have always wanted to get into scanning- he is holed up at lot at home, his wife is sick and of course he is always home for the Redskins , Clemson, and Maryland games.

Anyway, I want to program up my pro 2055 and send it up to him. This radio, as I am sure you know, uses the same WIN97 software as the Pro 97 I am a registered user of W97 and use 2 pro 97's here.

I did read through a lot of postings here and I realize there is not too much analog trunking activity there.
If anyone has a file of any analog stuff there that might get him interested I would be very appreciative if you could send it on to me or point me in the right direction.

His family has a place out on the Pax River they visit some too. So I am hoping for some freqs out there too. I have found a few great ones on in your forum, looks like the Bay Watch control frequencies will get his attention!

So, in short any (analog) police/fire around Silver Spring, and State LE or Natural resources, a dozen good mil freqs would be ample for Fred I think.

I just want to hook him into being a radio convert with some interesting stuff.
BTW, I hear traffic here sometimes on what I have listed as Andrews Special Air Mission freq- 136.75 AM mode. Any thing of that ilk, or maybe the DC Helo common freq would be great. If any of those House/senate/cloakrooms frequencies are still audible I sure that might interest him too.

One short item about me and DC monitoring- I was working in DC when the Air Florida plane hit the 14th St bridge, and Pres Reagan was attacked. I had an old RS tunable vhf/uhf radio- and primitive as it was I really heard some exciting stuff!

thanks for the patience you showed reading my long missive,
and thanks for any help. My direct email is amoperu (@) bellsouth.net

(please remove brackets)

thank you all!

Phil
