** Paid upgrades required for DMR, NXDN, and ProVoice monitoring
It has been stated many times why you need to pay for upgrades in many of the threads. So really no need to bring it up again. Do a search of the forums and you will find all the information on why Uniden charges for updates and the other manufacturer does not. This unit is $ 700.00. why should anyone have to pay for any upgrades. This thing should be ready to go out of the box.

Any word if it will stream directly to Broadcastify servers without the need of a computer?

I'll tell y'all straight up why I pre-ordered the SDS-200. Because it will be the only mobile scanner with Phase2, DMR, and NXDN, -that can be GPS controlled.
I don't like having a portable hooked up to all kinds of stuff in my vehicle, I mount everything neatly and firmly, in the event of an accident, I'm not knocked out by a scanner, and want to mount this one neatly and securely as well.
I would have waited to see what Whistler has to offer, but I already know they won't have GPS control available.
And I use GPS control, because I travel hundreds of miles in a day, and want the scanner to automatically lock out, and open up different areas as I enter and leave them. I am not going to fidget with manually doing it.
The 996P2 it will be replacing has done a fine job with this. But it won't, and, without hardware revisions, can't do NXDN, so I decided to get the next best mobile.
Now, if Whistler puts out a good product, then I may get their new offering as a base scanner, and put my TRX-2 I use now, up for sale.
Not an accurate statement the 536 and 436 will do nxdn, phase2, and Dmr and is gps controlled
You're half right.
He said the SDS-200 is the only MOBILE scanner capable of Phase 2, DMR and NXDN that can be GPS controlled. He then went on to explain why he didn't want to use a HANDHELD scanner in his vehicle. And I agree, as I've tried to use my 436 mounted in my vehicle. Besides the rats nest of wires coming out all over the scanner, the display was not easy to read at all in a mobile application.
I have not tried the 536, but I have heard the display is equally abysmal in a mobile installation. Is this true? While it may do everything he wants (P2, DMR, NXDN, GPS, etc) in a mobile scanner, it looks like the SDS-200 may be the better option, even if it is more expensive.

nice setup. If you get the new SDS-200 something is going to have to give in that console for insertion.
