Not going to get that started again here in this thread but, short version is Uniden won't allow them to sell it for less.
Also, did you notice the "no returns - PERIOD" clause in the light teal/blue text at the bottom of the listing description? Maybe that's normal for several retailers, not sure. But, this is sort of derailing from the topic...what you offered someone is off-topic. They're brand new...pay retail or wait for one on the pre-owned market.
It says more than 10 in stock, but not shipping until Feb 13. Isn't that a contradiction?
Says shipping on this Friday and Saturday. If you want USPS then shipping will be next Monday. Says nothing about Feb 13th

I bought mine thru Ham Station and have not received any emails yet. Most likely its probably for the best since anything can happen in transit and the weather and promising shipments on a certain day is probably not best until these dist. have these radios in hand. This deep freeze up in the North right now might might cause a couple of days of delays. Don't promise unless you have a 100 percent know of when shipping will happen.
Wonder if all of the radios were shipped to one main Uniden warehouse and the dist sent their shipping info to them and everything is being shipped from 1 central location. That sure would clear up any delays in shipping from multiple locations right now with weather issues.

Updated today...shipping directly from Texas, so if you signed up for UPS notifications, when a label is created and it will be from Texas. Good idea...it's -20 + below in the midwest and USPS and many shippers have cancelled service until tomorrow.
Spoke to them on another matter yesterday. As soon as the radios get there he will be shipping them right out.

I am all for big and beefy radios with lots of bells and whistles and now big, colorful info screens but I wonder why none of the manufacturer's have come out with an exclusive Base Station Scanner, instead of mobiles that can be either or? A real meant-to-be table top scanner with big rubber feets and a hefty footprint, wide screen GUIs and a big dimpled tuning knob that will absolutely not fit in your truck dash no way no how. Come on, you guys know what I mean. A do -it-all trunking scanner that could sit underneath an Icom IC-9000 on your desk. Woohoo! Some of us are not all save space for grace kinda guys. I know some of ya get that
Be that as it may, I am so very anxious for the big brown truck to rattle outside my door. Jeez, I thought I was excited waiting for the SDS100, but I don't think I've ever had such anticipation waiting on a scanner as I have with the SDS200. Come on with it already! hah

No returns? Screw that! I wouldn't even consider buying one with a restocking fee, much less a "no returns" policy. I'll be buying one when Amazon sells them with a 100% guaranteed return, paid return shipping.
As soon as that happens this thing will be getting a full Youtube review complete with head to head testing, on a multicoupler, vs. the BC780XLT, and the PRO-2006, so the question of "how does it work vs. my older scanners on VHF / UHF will have an answer quickly, with video of the testing. Also included will be video of head to head testing (with outdoor antenna attached) vs my Unication G4. As an added bonus for waiting, I won't have to hear "but you didn't wait for the second (or third) firmware!".
I truly hope this thing does what it is supposed to do, because if it does, it will be the best scanner ever made. I hope it's not just a repeat of the SDS100, since it will have the ability to use an outdoor antenna. We shall see.

Yes...but you said "thank you zipscanners outstanding service"...counting chickens before they hatch, I guess. I'd wait until I had it in hand to say that. Doesn't mean I don't think it'll arrive, just that it's better to wait and be sure before singing someone's praises, especially after their "upgrade codes expire" debacle.
Yeah Ebay sucks. The reason why sellers have all of these re-stocking fee's and in and out fee's is because EBAY seller fee's are out the roof. I am not sure how they stay in business anymore. Amazon will put Ebay out of business one way or another one day.
If I buy the second SDS-200 I agree I will wait until Amazon starts selling them. No hassle at all. Amazon just gives you the warm fuzzy's and the shipping thru Prime is the best.
