Inverness Fire District

As of yesterday (June 1) the Palatine Rural FPD has renamed itself as the Inverness Fire Protection District.

This will better reflect the area that it covers since much of it is the Village of Inverness and reduce confusion with the Palatine FD that covers the Village of Palatine.

No radio TG or frequency changes are part of this.

I was also told they're hoping to get more candidates to apply when they test with the removal of the "rural" part. They (like most places) are having a hard time getting applicants and keeping firefighters.
