Iowa Sheriff County Codes

Ok guys can someone remind me WHERE I saw listed the county codes for each of the Iowa sheriff depts.? I looked through all the county files where I THOUGHT i saw it. Getting some decent VHF skip today, and was trying to verify who I was hearing. Any ideas or help would be appreciated! Thanks , Mike

Should be the correct prefix codes for each county

Thank you , Mike! I was hearing a Butler county sheriff deputy on a stop, and he gave his number 1216. Not really skip, but still a couple of counties away. I am just using a handheld inside and bought a Maldol telescoping antenna, it does a decent job. Thanks again, Mike

Iowa(US - The RadioReference Wiki)

Each county now has a wiki associated with it so anyone can update unit numbers, or codes without having to submit it. Frequencies still need to be submitted so they can be added to the database.
