Discovered 774.33125 active here in Muscatine area somewhere. It is a control channel, but where it is is unknown. It has been identified for control channels for Marshalltown and Keosauqua.

That should be the Muscatine/Scott counties simulcast site. It should have a site ID of 14 (Hex E). If you can run Unitrunker or Pro96Com on it to determine the other frequencies and the NAC, it could be submitted to the database.

Simulcast? Perhaps that would explain why they built a new tower right on the ridge southwest of West Liberty where signal propagation would be so good to the east.

I'll see if I can figure it out.

Running off my PRO-197, I have an NAC of 4CE.

Unitrunker shows 774.33125 as control channel, with other frequencies of 773.83125 and 774.08125.

Forgot to mention it has only found one talk group so far this morning and that is 65536. That one isn't in that database so hopefully I'll be able to ID it in the coming days.

65536 is BSI (Base Station Identification) . It isn't a real talkgroup. You won't hear anything on it. It's a fake talkgroup used on most P25 trunked systems while a voice channel is tied up sending the CW ID station identification every 30 minutes. On other systems it is sent only on the control channel continuously or periodically. It doesn't belong in the database.

Update for Plymouth County:

When coming home last night I got a lot of traffic from ISP up until about Westfield, and then it began to die down. i didn't have procom running but my last recieve was just outside of Akron (Maybe half a mile or so from town) and then after that I got nothing. At home, I'm getting nothing and it's not even connecting to the Plymouth County or Woodbury tower. Again, might be antennas or the area.

All ISICS sites are live and in site trunking mode. 1 site is yet to be finished and that is Rock Rapids. Last week if you were in Storm Lakes dispatch area, you would have caught ISICS transmissions from ISP. There was a VHF outtage. Other than that you're not going to catch much ISP action on ISICS, yet.

Absolutely no traffic down here yet but not all our sites are live yet. Still have at least one tower that needs antennas put on yet.

For what it's worth:
I heard some Lifenet traffic on TG 4228 today on ISICS Atlantic Tower just now. They were going from the airport to the hospital.
Has anybody else heard traffic from Lifenet or know if they are going to be using it regularly?

I heard the same call here in Farragut off of the Sidney tower. Same talk group. Later I heard Lifenet coming into Omaha. Also heard them going to a scene this evening. Could it be the reason for the updates in 33 Iowa counties on the isics page of RadioReference?

The reason for the multiple updates to ISICS over the past couple of days was due to updates to the site NAC, callsign, and neighbors.

A friend heard a short transmission yesterday on the Muscatine-Scott County Simulcast site on talkgroup 5302 (2D Dispatch). I can't seem to hear anything on this or the DeWitt site at my new location.

Heard the same on the Johnson/Linn site sounded like transmission test.

Also a lot of activity at night on talk group 5013 DPS P16CALL 13A on the Johnson site.
