(IPN) Vol 8 #21 : XG-25M may not register with P25 trunked system after several months in service.
XG-25M radios in service a few months (or longer) may start exhibiting poor receive (RX) or low transmit (TX) RF output power while operating in P25T mode. The symptoms may be P25T registration issues, intermittent CC scan, and/or incorrect FCC menu RSSI values. This failure can occur right after power-up or while in service. The failed radio will have perfect sensitivity in analog conventional mode, re-programming, code update etc will not restore proper P25 trunking operation.
See attached PDF for full details.
