Can anybody tell me what scanner currently works for the Irving police dept. After the new changes my Pro 97 no longer works...What do I need to get and what to I need to do to get back in the action for the city of Irving.....help............

Any scanner that tracks EDACS wide systems should work. I am not aware of any reason the Pro-97 would not work.

Does the PRO-97 do rebanded frequencies?

That is the only reason I can think of for it not working.

EDACS and LTR functionality should NOT be affected by rebanding.

The Pro 97 can handle rebanded EDACS systems. I use one to monitor Richardson. It's the rebanded Moto systems the Pro97 can't handle.

You may have to completely re-program the bank you have Irving in. Sometimes the scanner will not take new frequencies without re-programming the entire bank. Try the following:

Stop on any channel, hit PRM
Push "F" then the bank you want ot clear.
Then push "F" + CLR then "1" to wipe that bank clear.
Then enter each frequency listed below, starting with channel 1 in the bank, not "0", i.e.: 501, 601 etc.

EDACs frequencies have to be entered into the scanner in LCN order. There is no band plan or control channel only scanning like there is with Motorola systems.

Then you will have to retag your talk groups as they pop up.
