Is Balt Co. Testing new P25 System ?

I swear I heard Balt.County on my Pro-96 this morning sounding just like Baltimore City with that sort of "in a coffee can" sound.

Muffled and broken, but very, very muich the same sort of terrible sound.

Are they doing some early testing of their new system?

Additionally, the signal seemed to be degarded or broken up scratchy even when transmitting in the regular style.

Anyone else hear this early today? Or was it my imagination ?

All is back to normal at this time ( about a 1/2 hour later )

On Saturday morning around work I would expect shirt change to have been, I heard what sounded like a transfer to the backup dispatch center -- things certainly sounded "different" but they were still analog.

When they go P25, they'll sound REALLY different since it'll be digital
