Hi all,

Do the BCT15's builtin BearTracker frequencies also have builtin location data, such that an attached GPS will lockout irrelevant frequencies?

I'm getting a lot of false BearTracker alarms in Reno for NHP frequencies relevant only to Las Vegas, some 350 miles away.

Thank you!

No, the Beartracker feature does not use GPS data. Those frequencies could be in use for something else in your area.

Yes, they certainly are. Looks like I'll have to port the prefab frequencies into my own location-aware systems and disable BearTracker. So much for the BearTracker warning light. Dag nabbit.

Fortunately, most of the work is already done -- give or take -- being that NHP is on our statewide trunked system, NSRS, and I've already mapped all the systems into my BCT15. Now that was tedious. What's left appears to be legacy frequencies. No prob.

Thank you, Dave!
