Between the cheapo USB plug, the speaker connection issue (no wires, just "contacts"), and the earphone jack issues, and the frailish micro SD card holder, and the common card issues, I don't see the 436 being a radio that hangs around for a long time. I hope I'm wrong, but everything I have seen indicates I'm not.
