I am new to listening to the scanner. I am trying to receive frequencies from all over the entire state, anyone know if that is even possible without putting up a skyscraper for an antenna?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
Hi,Your analogy would be correct about the skyscraper. What type of antenna are you currently using?
Well, thanks for that link! That is very cool! Is there any way to listen to multiple feeds at the same time on ScanAmerica? I'm assuming not.Mcwebsitedesign:
Alternatively, you "can" listen to other people's scanners from every county in NH with the exception of one at:
New Hampshire Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners
I know it's not what you're really asking for, but I couldn't resist ;-)
ahhh, ok, I will give that a try. Lots of multi-tasking!Yes, you can listen to multiple feeds at the same time. You can run multiple instances of the WinAmp player on your PC and have each one broadcast a different feed. The sound from each instance will play over the computer's speakers independant from one another.
P.S. Please note that the more feeds you have running at the same time on 1 PC, the more difficult it is to distinguish between them when the feeds are broadcasting simultaneously.
Search for the ProScan client, when you load it you get a list of Proscan servers. Some of them are in Southen NH and show the scanner face so you can identify the transmitting agency. There a couple that monitor Nashua and Manchester along with surrounding areas.
