I think what you mean is whether it's possible to lock out all of the other Trunk IDs and only listen to your police agency. The answer is yes:

1) Change the bank from "open" to "closed" mode. The little plus sign should change to a minus sign. Refer to the manual for how to do this...on the Pro-96 it's Func+5 in scan mode.

2) Put the trunk IDs in that you want to listen to. It'll only listen to those talkgroups.

My mistake. It wasn't either/or. You have to do #1 and then do #2.

An "open" bank will lock on to ANY active talkgroup on that system. It's also referred to as search on other scanners. When you change it to "closed", it'll only lock onto talkgroups that you have programmed into the radio previously.

So, when you program talkgroups into your trunking system bank and then "close" the bank, it'll only stop on those talkgroups you entered. Thus, you will only be listening to your local police (provided you programmed their talkgroup #s in), and nobody else.

This is also discussed on page 25 of the Pro-95 users manual.
