Hi I am new to this forum, in fact new to the hobby in general.
I just have 1 question at the moment, is it worth buying a none digital radio scanner due to them moving in to the digital era?

I live in the UK and have bought a Uniden Bearcat UBC3000XLT and to be honest I am a little disappointed as I don’t seem to be picking much up.

I was considering forking out around £400 for a decent home base; however I have just got the feeling that I may be wasting my money???

What scanners in the £400 mark are now worth buying?
Any advice much received.

Depends, is the area you monitoring digital? If so then I would go with the digital. Depending on the UK and the switchover to digital will be a factor as well.
