Seriously!

I don't hear anything from my scanner and its been a few days. And this just happened overnight one night.

So I think to myself..."Lets see what is going on with them factory built in fire /police channels"....

[presses button and hears way to much activity]

What??? Lots of activity. I wonder why?

So its got to be something that is easy enough to fix.
Like all those times in the past....
I will just down load my handy dandy software default profile from my computer.

And.... Wellahh........

Its still inst working? %*#!@&$&#.

So.. Who pulled what plug on what ever why Is Oakland converting when budget can read this before posting forum blah blah blah I have been reading way to many post forums that I cant see straight.

So its got to be broken.

No?

Anyone?

Thanks
Tony

You don't indicate what it is you are trying to listen to. (Alameda County's system? Oakland's system? CalFire? CHP?)

Alameda County is in the middle of the FCC-required 800 MHz rebanding process. Oakland may be also. CHP is in the middle of implementing new dispatch channels throughout the state.

To see if your receiver is truly broken, check the NOAA Weather Radio stations (162.400, 162.450, and 162.550 should all be readable in San Leandro).
