With all the rumors of SKTel doing away with fleetnet system, I am surprised to find 3 unknown , not seen before IDs pop up recently in the area of moose jaw.

AFS
05-103
05-104
05-105

only clue as to where this is , is reference to an auditorium on 05-104, and something about moving vehicles on 05-103.

anyclues as to who this / these may be?

Wil

May be related to SK Winter Games, just heard reference to wakamou valley and Prince Arthur School - venues for the events

FleetNet is dying. It's supposed to be out of here completely by December 2010. There are certain areas of the province where the coverage is just absolutely horrible. It's time to get FleetNet out of here.

It does make sense that SK Winter Games would have talkgroups on FleetNet. Talkgroups were set up for the First Ministers Conference in Regina when that was in town.

However, it's now only a matter of time before we see users migrating from FleetNet onto the P25 system.

New FleetNet800 TGs ?

I think you must be right about these TGs being used for the winter games this week. Those talk groups were used by the Sask Department of Highways at one time. TG 05-102 was used by the line painting crews and those others listed were used by the many of the survey crews and sign crews. SaskTel Mobility has big drums full of the old MRKs and LPEs to give out for use at the games. And yes FleetNet will be DOA before the end of this year.
