No, cut & paste is a lot less time comsuming that manualy typing in all the info. Not the fastest but it does work!

A whole hell of a lot faster than putting the frequencies in from the front panel of the scanner... :shock:

I'd be thankful just to be able to type the info in on a keyboard versus punching in the info via the keypad on the face of the scanner...

Cut and Paste? My God, how freaking hard is that? No where near as a pain in that ass as inputting all the info "manually"... Yeah, that means putting it in via the keypad, hence - No computer involved...

Can you explain to how to put them in
I have put in frequency's For Police and FD through File import web / but the common ones and phones I cant figure out how to get them in via the software win96

Go to

File>Web Import>Radioreference.com

Then sign in with your rr.com user name and p-word.

I do that to get the police and fd and RCMP but not good for telephones and common files you cant get to them at least I cant :roll:

You high light the freq you want, right click mouse, select copy and then paste it into the program. lot easier than typing in manualy through keypad. Not to hard really. I did that a lot before the RR web import feature.

You can use the new import feature if you are a paying RR supporter.

The web import feature only works with trunking systems. No conventional, and certainly no common frequencies.

For that matter the common frequency lists are moving to the Wiki and are not part of the database at all.
