Im not hearing any radio traffic from the Cheyenne Mountain tower site. Fort Carson Trunking System, Fort Carson, Colorado - Scanner Frequencies . Nor am I getting any data hits or signal strength bars on the display for the primary or secondary control channels while monitoring that TRS site this morning. The system was up and running fine until this morning. Ive tried 3 separate radios (G5, SDS100 and BCD325P2) and nothing since 700 am this morning. Anyone else local to Ft Carson in the springs notice this as well? I tried to reprogram the G5 and 325P2 and still nothing. Im not close to any of the other Ft Carson sites to check the other towers. Can someone local to any of the other Ft Carson towers please check and see if the TRS is down anywhere else?

In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that Site 2 is not on the air:

410.1500v
410.1625v
410.5500vp

Site 1 is working all the time though:

354-0101 NAC 351
407.0750cav
407.7625ca
407.8125v
408.1250v

Yep! Just programed in Site 1 on the 325P2 and am hearing traffic as normal on my external UHF antenna. Can't pick up site 1 unless I use the external antenna. Do you think the frequencies changed on site 2? How can the main base get good coverage from the sites that are so far away? I would have figured site 2 was the primary as its the closest. All the others are many miles away and in some cases over large hills.

Hi Dave,

I can confirm what Mick said. Just tested all of the sites and I can only receive Site 1 (Signal Hill).

I am on the West side of the Springs (80904) near King and 19th.

I am not aware of any frequency changes. I will test Cheyenne Mtn on the Air Force side as well.

It's usually the only site I can receive for Ft. Carson.

That has been the case for me since I moved in May.

Previously when I was at Powers and Carefree, I had different results.

Im on the far north side and signal hill site 1 is hit or miss now that Ive been monitoring it.

Concerning site 2 it's either the sites down, there is a frequency shift/change or they moved the site too somewhere on post and its running a lower power system now? Im not sure...

Same results here Tim on the USAF site 5. Now that I look at site 6, Booth Mtn it does cover the main base well. So you could be right that Ice or snow affected site 2 and their just waiting to send a team up when the weather is nicer.

Well Dave and Mick. No good news to report. I sat in Cheyenne Mountain State Park and other locations close to that area. Nothing new regarding Discovery, Analyze or Close Call pertaining to the Ft. Carson Cheyenne Mountain site. Still only able to track Signal Hill. No new frequencies to report.

It would be cool if someone with a Laptop and Unitrunker or Pro96Com could visit the area and monitor another site, and see what the Adjacent site tables are reporting. I'll put this on my list of stuff to try and get to.

My Pro96COM program ran all night on Site 1 SysID 354 Fort Carson and when I looked at the Adjacent Site Information box it is blank.

Sites 3, 4, 5, & 6 are usually quite weak here, but I will log them to look for Adjacent Site Information and report back.

My Pro96COM program ran all week on Site 5 SysID 354 Fort Carson and when I look at the Adjacent Site Information box it is blank, the same as Site 1. I have not found any other active freqs that might be used by Site 2.
