When I look at the specs/description of the Hytera PD78x radios, they don't mention the radio being an SDR...

But, when I look at rebranded racom "momentum" version of this same radio:

Momentum, HDP150 - RACOM

... it is described as a SDR.

So ... is it ?

Still wondering about this ... feel free to critique/chastise me if this is somehow a dumb question :)

Here at the racom site:

Momentum, HDP150 - RACOM

it says:

"The Momentum HDP150 is a software defined radio (SDR) that integrates impressive performance with durable construction to support a wide range of user requirements and applications."

?

Not really sure what they mean for sure. It's not packaged as we arebuyi.g/building/using them. They may use a mini circuit, mini computer (raspberry?), and additional circuits/components... But then you would have a typical modern radio anyway. Contact the supplier and ask for a clarification. Surely No Marketing Person would have seen the term Software Defined, and mistaken it for Software Programmed...
