Is there a Uniden BCDx36HP GPS Intro Guide or Info?

Howdy.... Ive got both a 436 and 536 and am taking a 1000 mile trip in the next couple of days. Im wondering if it will be worth it to set up the GPS and have it auto change all the channels as I move (thats how it works, right? )

Im heading all across CA and into Nevada so it would be mostly the different CHP systems as I move. Any info like this on how to get it all setup?

I have the GPS wired into my mobile 536 and it is great. Worth it!

Yep. GPS is great for scanners. I have a Garmin puck, but the Uniden one works and comes with what you need.

Turn on location control, plug it in, pick a limited number of service types so you are not bombed with stuff, and enjoy listening as you go.

No "guide" other than the forum that I know of.

Setting up a GPS device is pretty much a "Plug and Play" situation. You may need to confirm in your profile that the Baud Rate is 4800 BPS (but that's the default so unless you've changed it for some serial port application, it should be correct). That's in the Location Settings tab.

I too swear by GPS use.
