YES its a good deal! Should have waited 6 months. :(

You might want to check out the newer version listed for the same price.

I paid $29.95 + shipping and insurance for the BC 700 in Dec '08. That is a similar unit without the batteries and accessories. So you're basically paying $8 for everything else that is with that package.

Check out the reduced shipping options from Thomas too. If you fiddle with quantities, you can end up paying very little for shipping the order.
