$300.00+$9.99 to ship. No antenna but I've got a new 800mhz. Someone told me that our county Catoosa County was encrypted and we wouldn't be able to hear anything even with a digital scanner. Is that true? I bought the digital handheld anyway. Take a look:

if if it's ENCrypyted, you are out of luck period!.. Apco 25 Digital.. you can listen to it

Don't know about how good of a deal it is but whats listed in the database http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=3365
shows one encrypted TGID. Best to ask in the Georgia Regional Forum and see if anyone local can give you more info.

I emailed the sherriff's department and asked them for the new frequency and he directed me to this site. He didn't say anything about it being encrypted.

you should be able to hear catoosa on a digital scanner, I cant anymore, still get chattanooga , blocked out the GA control channels on the 800 system, I live right on the state line, I guess Im gonna have to cowboy up and go digital soon
